Putting the Dumb in Dumber

dumber and dumber 4

Cody Archer, a missionary working for Revive Ministries, inadvertently outed his boss, Asher Intrator, as a missionary targeting religious Jews.

Archer sent JewishIsrael an email yesterday, December 17th, requesting that we remove the word “missionary” from one of our videos which features Intrater being interviewed by the International Director of Jerusalem’s Christian Embassy (ICEJ), Juha Ketola. JewishIsrael staff responded by asking Archer, ” why the panic about the word “missionary”?

Incredibly, we received this revealing reply:

“The work that Asher does is very much the work of a missionary. We have no problem with the word, and Asher would have no problem calling himself a missionary, but in front of the right people.”

Archer went on to complain about the counter-missionary organization Yad L’Achim and their efforts to expose Intrater. He concluded by saying:

“To a Jewish Israeli mind, the word missionary does not bring good thoughts, nor does it help to build bridges of dialog between Asher and those attacking him. Instead they use this word against him. Because Asher is actively reaching out to religious Jews, it is more beneficial that the word missionary is not connected to his name online.”

Of course, Intrater makes no secret of his conversionary agenda, but apparently a lot of Jews remain in the dark over the obvious – unless the word “missionary” is stamped across a head-shot.  JewishIsrael hopes our correspondence with Revive Ministries, as well as the links below will shed some much needed light on a topic many of our people approach with a blind eye.

We would like to thank Cody Archer for making our work a little easier, and for lighting and lightening-up our Chanukah and that of Yad l’Achim’s.

Here is the full correspondence between Archer and JewishIsrael.

Oh my… that’s just hilarious. Cody Archer should get a promotion and be given more responsibility:)
